Van Gogh Museum

On the second day of my trip to Amsterdam, I visited the Van Goug museum. I have always considered Van Gogh an amazing artist, and a big inspiration within my own work but even more so after exploring this exhibition with my own eyes.

Walking through each room, being able to examine the works as close as I possibly could, I was stunned. It quickly became apparent just how much time, effort and dedication had been put into each piece. Observing them first hand, the passion he felt for art seemed to translate through his brilliant use of colour and lead up from the pages, dancing around the space I shared with the canvasses and filling the whole room with a sense of utter excellence.
