Amsterdam Pieces

These are two pieces inspired from my trip to Amsterdam. The first piece is a scene of the river at dusk, a slight Impressionist piece (Inspired by Van Gogh of course) and the second is a scene within one of the coffee shops there. I thought these two images summed up my time there perfectly. The river, a beautiful dark sky cascading down to meet the water flowing below it - the tall houses on either side shrinking gradually into the distance, a real feel of what it was like to experience such beauty. The second piece made me giggle when I saw it - it was too good not to make a piece about! (If the boys within this image happen to read this blog, apologies for not asking your permission to star in my work but i would take it as a compliment!
